It’s been 5 months since our wedding celebration and we are still reveling in how lovely the whole week was. Thank you again to everyone who came out or sent well wishes in their absence. Prior to the wedding, we had so many people warn us that the whole thing would fly by and we wouldn’t remember a thing. Well, we feel really lucky to remember it all! The delicious food, the decorations (and all it took to get them up – inside and out!), the beautiful flowers, the music, the projector set up, the campfire,the “spa” from the girls, the games, the surprise decorations in the honeymoon suite, Rontu taking a ride on the bridal train, we remember it all! But what stands out most of all is how much love we felt that day. Of course, we were expecting to feel lots of love for each other that day, but nothing could have prepared us for how much love we felt from all of you. It was really incredible to look out at everyone who was there to support us and feel such an overwhelming sense of love and safety – of family and community. We feel so fortunate to be connected to each and every one of you.
David and Pri were kind enough to set up our website so that this page can serve as a blog for our honeymoon coming up just over a week from today. Neither of us have ever been great at staying in touch electronically, and we’re certainly not going to be turning down any grand adventures in lieu of sitting in internet cafes all day, but we’ll try to check in once a week to let you know where we’re at and what we’ve been up to. By the end of the whole trip, we think it’ll be nice for us to look back on too. So if you’re bundling up on these chilly January nights and want to live vicariously through us over in SE Asia, stay tuned!
